Royal Appointment for STP Director

Leon Lloyd visits Buckingham Palace to celebrate 40 years of education and training for young people with The Prince's Trust.

20 May Royal Appointment for STP Director

100% committed to education and training for young people, STP Director Leon Lloyd has been mingling with Britain’s finest at Buckingham Palace to celebrate 40 years of The Princes’s Trust.

It has given me great pleasure and a huge feeling of pride to have been an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust for over 12 years. The Trust believes every young person should have the chance to succeed. I have seen firsthand the great work they have done and to be able to contribute to that in small way is a great feeling. This year we celebrate 40 years of The Prince’s Trust and have helped over 825,000 young people during that period. Like any great charity we have set ourselves a challenge and have a target of helping another one million young and disadvantaged people over the next ten years.

Receiving invitations from HRH The Prince of Wales to events such as the Celebrate Success Awards and garden party’s at Buckingham Palace are amazing. Seeing many of the people who have been helped and also the large numbers of volunteers that make all of this happen is a reward in itself, but meeting and seeing the support given by some of the other celebrity Ambassadors such as Ant and Dec, Tom Hardy, Phillip Schofield and Fearne Cotton is also good fun. To find out more about supporting The Prince’s Trust or if you’d like to join myself, Martin Corry and Austin Healey on the Palace to Palace charity cycle ride, ‪on October 2nd‬‬, please visit https://www.princes-trust.org.uk
