Submit your research

Submission Guidelines

Format

  • Submissions should be an output from your research that supports others to learn from your findings
  • We accept video, infographic, short written summary, or other summarised output

If you are unable to produce a summarised output from your research but are still willing to share your findings, the panel can support you to produce an output of your research.

Authorship

  • Outputs need to be attributed solely to the individual, and not co-authored

Interview for promotional purposes

  • We ask that you make yourself available for a short interview with a member of the Switch the Play team that can be used to profile your story and your research

Permissions

  • Upon approval by the panel, you must give permission for us your work to feature through the Creative Commons platform
  • There are six licenses to choose from and the public domain dedication tool gives creators a range of options. The best way to decide which is appropriate for you is to think about why you want to share your work, and how you hope others will use that work.  For help, try the Creative Commons License Chooser
  • Please note to follow this process you must own or control the intellectual property rights of the work you are giving permission to share

How to submit

Email an abstract or summary of your research to playitforward@switchtheplay.com. You must include your idea for how you would like to share this content (e.g. infographic, summary report, video etc), a short summary about you and your sporting background.

Email now

The panel will then provide feedback to you which will either be:

  • Acceptance and agreement to share the research
  • Conditional agreement with suggestions for consideration
  • Decline based on not fitting the criteria

Upon approval the researcher would then:

  • Provide a License agreement to Switch the Play via Creative Commons
  • Share information with Switch the Play including a photo of yourself, brief biography, link to your website/LinkedIn page and the research output
