We’re excited to share a fantastic new opportunity for athletes preparing for life after sport! Switch the Play Foundation has partnered with Barclays to launch a brand-new Athlete Transition Programme, created to help athletes explore new pathways and take confident steps into their next professional career.
This exclusive programme offers a unique chance to gain first-hand insight into the world of banking and finance, whilst building valuable skills and connections to support athletes’ next chapter. Through a mix of interactive workshops and networking opportunities, participants will be able to explore potential career pathways and connect directly with professionals across Barclays.
Programme overview
The programme will take place over three days in London (16th–18th June) and includes:

An immersive, in-person experience (with a bursary available to support travel and accommodation costs)

Exclusive workshops delivered by Barclays professionals

Insight into career pathways within banking and finance

Networking opportunities with key figures across the organisation
Best of all, following the programme, participants will be considered for potential entry-level roles - offering a direct pathway into the industry.
